Feb 28, 2024 · Westin just finished a huge renovation. Hyatt has redone all its rooms again, and the main Atrium tower area as well. They also have the Hyatt Residences there (about 3-4 years). Sheraton has done very little. I would be looking at condos or condo resorts. Much nicer and more room with kids, plus a full fridge and kitchen.

But it's no comparison to the Grand Wialea, which I don't think anyone would dispute is fantastic and the best pool on Maui. There are two large waterslides at the Grand Wialea (although, actually, the Westin's one waterslide is slightly better than either of the two main slides at the GW).
