Ram rotary shifter stuck in park.

Took it into the dealership today and on my way there same thing happened only this time it wouldn't let me shift to park and I had to turn the truck off and restart it. ( in the middle of a three lane highway no less) Dealer said that nothing was coding and it didn't happen on their test drive so they don't know what the problem is.

Tilt the steering wheel to the full UP position. Look underneath the column, and you should see a hole underneath the shifter area. Poke a screwdriver (or similar tool) up into that hole, and you can push the override lever (inside the column) up, which will then allow you to move the shift lever out of Park.
