I always blow air from a compressior thru the motor backwards of the normal water flow before replacing the LU back on the motor. This can be done at the phole on the motor.

The compression range of these motors brand new from the factory would have been in the range of 110-135 psi with a variance of +/- 15 psi being acceptable. There were a few different versions of the 150 Black Max over the model run including the XR2, XR4, XR6, XRI, ProMax and Super Magnum (plus probably forgot a couple).
