I only use them as my mainstay. As for anti calv not entirely sure - I believe imperial menavlions or the battanian Falxman are great for that.The Empire(s): Infantry, Infantry, and all around solid choice in all aspects. In terms of general archers obviously Battannian Fians are the best by far. The Aserai Master Archers are the best non-noble archer unit, followed by Imperial Palantine guards, mainly due to the fact they only have 1 quiver of arrows while the Aserai has 2. I like Sturgian Horse raiders and Druhizinik as anti-cav cavalry.
