player crafted items across the board outshine anything in the game, whether it be alchemy, enchanting or smithing. the balance is very poor for the crafting system. especially if you choose to use more than one, or exploit them in a number of easy ways. the gauldur amulet is a really good item for any play type. it will help more for a warrior than for a mage, but it is still a decent item.
