The only real solution to this is getting a premade/friend group to play with, or sticking to 1 vs 1 competitive multiplayer games. There are zero team VS team competitive MP games that have an active population but don't have issues with random teammates. Fighting games or RTS are the only genres. Eve Online is very PVP oriented. It's free to play, so it's easy to give it a try, but it takes a while to learn how to play.
