The stock final ration of 16/40 is too low for the engine, with the most popular final ration typically being 15/41 or mathematically similar to place the engine in a better rev range.

This includes using just bar end weights and people have tried and used them. For street with a v twin, I like a clip-on including oem internal and bar end weights. YMMV. Dec 30, 2017 · I have a 2004 RC 51 with 15236 miles. Today my wife, Patty, and I took on checking the valve clearances. (True romance!). We have one valve out of specification. The rear cylinder right exhaust is 0.009 inches compared to a specification of 0.012 +/- 0.001. We will re-shim this valve. Now the questions: 1. I will replace the valve cover gaskets.

Sep 14, 2015 · There is a fuse on the left side of the bike just in front of the regulator rectifier (4 x 4 inch slab of metal with cooling fins) on the left side of the bike. I think the fuel pump runs but the bike will not start if that fuse is blown. Of course you made sure the run/stop switch (right handlebar) is at "run" and the bike is in neutral. Honda RC51. Big improvement over the stock rotors, but then my right stock rotor was a little warped, resulting in pulsating,bad feel, etc.With a stock size rear tire, (190/50-17) your chain should remain the same length as stock. See how you like that. If you want deeper gearing, say a 41 or 42, then it's an easy rear sprocket swap, and your stock length chain should still fit. I can almost guarantee it.
