Svarog. It is, you have about 10% of not getting infected from a bite. 9 times out of 10 it is lethal. I survived a bite maybe twice. One way to tell if you've got infected (Not Sure if it still works) is that if you get infected with zombie virus and check the health panel, your health status will never reach OK.if you open your health tab it'll show the bite if you have one, minor damage during a fight that isnt a scratch or bite means the zombie attack didnt break the skin. Default mod settings: -Injury Threshold is 2. (This means that any zombie attack after 2 sustained injuries can result in zombification) -Only zombie-related attacks are counted towards the threshold (Scratches, lacerations, etc.) -To compensate for the added "protection", the risk of infection after reaching this threshold is doubled.Not all injuries in Project Zomboid can simply be bandaged up. Wounds can either be surface-level, like a scratch, or something deeper, like a laceration and deep cut.Just remember, on default settings every scratch/laceration made from a zombie has a chance to infect your character with the Knox virus by 7% and 25%, bites are 100%. You'll be fine if the wound had a different cause, I'm pretty sure having infected blood on your clothes and skin can't turn you even if you have an open wound. 4.1.
