So yes it is lighter, but for me I'm not going to rush out and sell my Gen4 30 to buy a 30S, it's not that big of a deal to me. I find that the 21 has a little heavier trigger pull than the 30, which may be a characteristic of this gun only. However, I find them both about equally accurate. I do most of my dryfiring with the 21 because of the heavier trigger pull.
