It's mostly used in bosses or raids that use multiple combat styles (CoX, Nex, ToB, ToA), so you'll want to have bowfa/bp and trident before you can make good use of it anyways. Or in the case of Nex, a ton of brews and super restores to blow and ideally armadyl armor & cbow (or tbow). It doesn't help you get bowfa, bp or trident any faster ...

I’m slowly approaching 95 slayer and end game PVM content. My next task before I start end game PVM is to obtain the bowfa and crystal armour. After obtaining, I will be killing Zulrah with the bowfa to obtain all three uniques. Other bosses peak my curiosity on whether or not the bowfa will be good.
Spooned ungrateful bitch. At 99 range and eagle eye, bowfa is 22% more DPS than rcb/dias, both in god dhides. I'm not exactly sure what the tick loss is for 6:0 vs 7:0, so you'd need to factor that in. For reference, bowfa with crystal top/legs is 35% more DPS than bowfa in hides. I got Bowfa almost a year ago, used it to learn bandos 9:0 and kril 8:0, made a lot of money. Best use is for anything where you can avoid taking damage. The crystal armour only degrades if damage taken is higher than a 0 so keep that in mind. Used bowfa at shamans, gwd, zulrah and for wildy content, whilst doing 2 CGs a day for gold to upkeep misc and shards for potions. Elite void is 12,5% damage and 10% accuracy and no ranged bonus. Crystal armor with barrows gloves is 15% damage and 30% accuracy with +70 range bonus. So you'll hit nearly as hard but waaaay less accurate. I'd say plenty better than rcb, prolly gonna be a bit of a struggle if you wanna do ranged only zulrah for example.You could get 30+ kill trips fighting Graardor traditionally if you are skilled enough at prayer flicking, but Bowfa kiting is significantly less difficult yet provides even greater rewards and there is a clear lack of balance. ... The bowfa can literally not even be used, let alone made op, without the quest line. Crystal Shards are untradable and the only way to get them is inside priff. But the only way to get inside of priff is to do sote.
