Saw a post that said Remington 870 was akin to the Mossberg 500. The 870 is inexpensive, the 500 is cheap. There is a difference. My dad's been shooting competition level trap with an old, beat up, scratched up, rusty 870 for over 20 years. He goes through 10,000 rounds plus a year with it.

The slugs cycle better that the buckshot. Buckshot like to "stand up" on the elivater, slugs did too just not quite as much. To prevent jamming you have to cycle slow and gentle. I would like to find a way to modify the gun to cycle mini's a little better. Keep your powder dry, the red dawn is near.
