The CK-Pro receiver sets look cool but the LMT is battle tested, has ambi-controls, and is a true monolithic upper. LMT is literally top tier… they had some QC issues for a while after hiring a bunch of new workers and trying to keep up with demand but it seems like all of that has been resolved now. All you need to be sure of is: will your gas block clear the tight ID of the Specwar upper. My understanding is that most low-profile gas blocks will be fine. The decision to convert or not is yours. But if it were me, I would save the BRT barrel for another build and buy an LMT barrel for your Specwar. The Shovelnose flipped to the suppressed setting runs so smoothly and the ejection pattern is essentially unchanged. The Specwar runs around 1-2 o'clock with an H1 and around 3 o'clock with an H2.
