In the U.S., silver quarters were minted from 1796 to 1964. Therefore, if you have any standard U.S. Quarter with a mint date between those years, it’s made with pure silver. However, this all changed with the Coinage Act of 1965. In July of that year, silver was eliminated from all circulating U.S. dime and quarter dollar coins.
