The Stage 2/3 kits for Predators all allow the engine to rev to 7,000+ RPM to produce maximum power and I don't think they would help much at 4,200 RPM or so. If you remove the governor or make other adjustments to increase rpm then you will need to get a Mikuni or a Mikuni clone carburetor to get more power out of the engine. The only thing it’ll do is, make your kart slow. The predator 212 engine that has the governor will rev at 3600 RPM maximum; without the governor, it can rev up to 5000 RPM (with other stock parts). Since rpm is relative to speed, if the setup makes use of the same tires and gearing, the mini-bike or Go-kart will be 1.5x faster than before.Overall this is an awesome kit! Would recommend! By increasing the power that your engine produces. Power is directly related to rpm. Horsepower = Torque x RPM / 5,252. As you can see, the more power your engine produces, the higher the RPM can be.
