Tralfaz, (at least on my Enclave with My DIC settings..) with the door open you must press the door lock button twice. It "ding dings" at you on the first lock attempt. If the car is running, the driver door lock will unlock. If you are using the Fob it is different. If you walk away from the vehicle unlocked it will lock after 5 seconds.
