Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Horizon Walker Spells table. I would say take the first 5 levels ranger. Then take either two levels of druid or three of rogue. Scout and assassin would work well for your concept. I would say wield a longsword and shield, or a greatsword/axe as the horizon walker is about one powerful attack. If you weren't being melee, you could take a longbow and focus on that.
