Re: Chichen Itza hours of operation. it takes about 90 minutes from Merida if you use the Cuota (toll road), a little longer via the Libre (free road). I recommend taking that Libre because you go through a couple of villages and get to see what that's like in the early morning just as people are getting on with their day.A taxi ride would cost a fortune.
