beacuse ryze has to stand still to use e-w you usually cant react to his q3 with it. you should try practising dodging his q3 since after that you can pretty easily e-w and run away. you should also try to just push and roam, you wont be killing him in lane. also get boneplating, go normal paherush build but with boneplating and overgrowth/tenacity

With Riftmaker you have a bad early and mid and a bad-decent lategame. It's a fun build that works when you're better than your elo, but not on serious competition i think. No pro ever builds or even tries Riftmaker also. I've seen some pros go Crown, seraphs, Rylais. Should be a decent build against assasins.
