I just spent way too much time messing with the VESS electrical harness connector trying to disconnect it and stop that awful beeping when reversing and I found a much easier way to disconnect it. 1. Remove the plastic "shield" on the far-right (when looking through the grille) that covers the wires as they terminate into the connector harness. 2.It cannot be turned off permanently.
