The 33s should fill the fenders just fine with a 2.5 lift. Since this is a Flareside, I'm guessing this is on an F150. If so, it has always been common practice on a 4wd to run 31 or 32 with stock or a leveling kit, and 33 with a 4 inch lift, and 35 with a 6 inch lift. My wheels are 17" vision raptor wheels with a +25 mm offset . The guy at the shop said the crash bars would need to be removed to put on 285 75/17 tires. These tires are 33.86 inches in diameter. The stock ones are 31.7" and it seems like there's enough space to fit the larger ones w/o touching crash bars.
