if you look at the textbox on the bottom of that options page. [curhp] shows the current fulltext hp with no decimals. These are tags that aren't listed in elvui's tooltips that will work. You have to change it from "target frame" to player frame and any other frames you want to add the long form health to.

Elvui has been cross-compatible between retail and classic ever since Wrath pre-patch or so. They consolidated it all into a single version back then and even before that you could just literally copy all your settings from retail to classic with no issues.
