Wizards have a powerful capstone. Properly built and geared, pure wizards are some of the most powerful characters in DDO. Yet, some wizards take levels in other classes to increase their survival and self-sufficiency. Two levels of Rogue are the most common dip for wizards.

Start with 1 EK, 6 PM (core 2 for PM form), 5 Harper and work your way to 12 Harper asap and go to EK from there. Just use a 2handed weapon before 6, when you should swap to swf longswords, battleaxes or warhammers. Edit: correcting swf into the build, as pointed out.
