I remember gently removing some ice from one of mine and it started working again. There's also been a handful of time where they are just disabled for no reason, and if I turn off and turn the car back on they work fine. I use the button on the screen to disable it when backing into my garage, but it always re-engages when I shift out of reverse and is on the next time I back up. According to manual, , it should reset the next time you go into Reverse IIRC. I am struggling to find a pattern with the behavior. gbhrps. Here is a picture of the subie backup sensor. Notice the side clip spring (has a small rectangular opening dead center of it). There is another one on the other side of the sensor as well. Those spring clips must be pulled out away from the sensor carefully to remove the sensor from the bumper cover.

Mar 2, 2020 · I never checked, but for whatever reason I assumed there were backup sensors since the car has cross-traffic alerting. While it does have the reverse camera, I'd like to add the RAB system just for the reverse sensors.
