At the north-west edge of the town there are these building complexes that have a chance to spawn as survivor houses. That means each of the appartments in the building is a survivor house. All 40 apartments seem to have spawned survivor loot as each one has multiple guns and ammo boxes, melee weapons, food and more. Did I just win the RNG lottery? I have more here than I'll ever need and I haven't explored more than Rosewood and half of March Ridge yet. Edit: the bulding is called the March Ridge Dormitory.

Get whatever you can from the building you spawn in, then leave town towards the crossroads pile-up north-east. Spend the night there in a car, next day head to Muldraugh, clear the Rusty Rifle and voila, you have an awesome base. I tried looting March ridge, I really did. It was probably over population capacity when the infection tore through it. March Ridge is a densely planned new community. There is little in the way of urban sprawl like Muldraugh for example. Second, the town is mostly gated off so they cannot easily migrate out of the area. March Ridge is a fantastic place to scavenge for books, skill mags, and VHS tapes.
