The lake offers excellent fishing opportunities, but timing is crucial. The best time to go ice fishing on Mille Lacs Lake is during the winter months when the lake is frozen and safe to access. Typically, ice thickness reaches 12-14 inches after the first ice, allowing for driving on the lake.Again we stress safety and want everyone to have a safe memorable fishing experience. So we will be limiting our traffic for the weekend.
