Glock 19 vs xd.

I used to be a big XD/XDm fan, Then I compared the Glock 19 to an XD sub compact. pretty similar in size (I think an extra .5 inch on the slide length and .25 height) but the g19 comes with 15 round mag and gives me a full 3 finger grip. That was the beginning of my transition to Glocks.Both are great guns, but I prefer the springfield. I own a xd 9 and trust it with my life. Yes they are heavier but for many reasons. They are thicker and have a metal guide rod and metal sites. Glocks have plastic guide rods and plastic sites. The xd has a better trigger and it has conventional rifling for reloads.Like the previous contender, Springfield's XD-S is a smaller pistol. It's a bit over 6 inches long, and almost 4.5 inches tall, and it's just under an inch wide. Also, like the previous gun, the basic XD-S model comes with two magazines, an extended one (8+1) and a flush one (7+1). I shot the XD terrifically, especially as a newbie. I noted the features on the XD that were lacking on the Glock (ambi mag release, grip safety, chamber loaded indicator, striker-cocked indicator). And I went w/ the XD. I couldn't see paying more and getting less. XDs are at least as dependable as Glocks.

The biggest problem with the 26 is the lack of said a rail (why that's the case is beyond me; it would easily fit), which the XD has.
