Per Western Powders, 100 grains by volume of BH209 is 70 grains weighed on a scale. My TC powder measure at 100 grains by volume was 72-73 grains on my electronic scale. Comparing BH to any of the Pyro's and loading grain for grain you will see a difference of about 10-15% in the increase of velocity. So back to your question.... 120 grains of BH vs. 150 grains of Pyro... It would be my speculation that you would see about a 10-15% in velocity with bullets up to 250 grains in weight.
You cannot exceed a 120-grain charge, either, though you really don't need to. Oil-based cleaners, such as those used on your modern firearm, are used to clean BlackHorn 209, not water. Lastly, a 10 oz. container of BlackHorn 209 will cost you around 10 dollars more than a full pound of the other black powder replacements.

The max charge for Blackhorn is 84 grains by weight which should be 120 grains by volume depending on which volumetric tube you use, which is one of the problems with volume measurements. My current charge is 77 grains (weighed in grams out to 3 decimals = 4.990) with a 250 grain Hornady SST and Harvester short sabot.
